We've been working our gardens for over 30 years, however, some of the original plantings date back to the 1950s, or when the house was originally built. Still, living in Seattle, there is an abundance of gorgeous plantings and trees.
The Brown Wall Series originated from photographs I took of flowers I cut and arranged from my gardens. I shot these against the brown wall of my home office using the Seattle light as the natural source. 
The play between this Seattle light and the brown wall provided a luxurious backdrop against which I've continued photographing plants and cuttings from my yards.
